If you have kids and a pool at home, you might know how hard it is to keep them out of the water. If you do not have a pool in your own backyard, they might pester you to take them to a local pool or swimming hole. It is a great way to spend time together, but you also want to make sure that is done in a safe manner so it will not end up in tragedy.

If you have a pool at home, there are safety precautions you must follow in order to protect your children. When you have small children, it is recommended that you have a gate around the pool so that toddlers and even kids that might wander into your yard to not fall in and drown. This is one accident that happens far too often when a locked gate and fence could have prevented it. Kids are naturally attracted to the water when they love it and it only takes one slip to fall in over their heads.

Even when you are in attendance, and you always should be when children are in a pool, accidents can still happen. Never allow your kids to run and partake in horseplay around the sides of the pool. Many a concussion or broken bones have happened in this way. Let them know what the rules of the pool are and enforce them stringently.

Children just learning to swim should always wear a life preserver even if they had rather not. Even big kids that know how to swim well could become strangled and go under the water. This is why it is so imperative that an adult always be in attendance. If you allow your kids to swim in a pool or any where else, make sure you know CPR so you do not have to wait on help to arrive should they get hurt in any way.

Out of the water, kids should always have sunblock on to protect them from the sun. Be smart enough to know when a child has had enough sun for one day. Skin cancer can show up years later and sometimes it is deadly. Be a responsible parent when it comes to the fun your kids have outdoors especially when they are playing in the water.

Do you wish you had a beautiful swimming pool that is the envy of friends and guests? This article will provide you with tips on how to get a unique Scottsdale pool redesign or remodel. Whether you’re looking to update an old design or remodel a shabby pool, the following information will be beneficial to you and will help you avoid costly mistakes.

In Scottsdale, swimming pools are a must for any outdoor landscape environment. Whether you like the look of a lush tropical oasis or enjoy taking a dip just to cool off when it’s hot outside, your backyard can be your desert retreat. If you’re like many AZ residents, however, you probably already have a pool. Maybe it was already there when you bought your home or you may have had one put in. If you’re really unlucky, maybe your plans were started and never finished! Regardless of your situation, you could probably use an update and now is the perfect time for a pool redesign or remodel.

Take a long, hard look at your pool. Is it not quite what you’ve always dreamed of seeing when you look at your backyard? Does it have chemical or salt water stains? Are there dust spots on what should be a spotless floor? Do you avoid swimming because of the way it looks? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, keep reading!

A pool redesign or remodel is really as simple as a three-step process: budget, design and implementation. By defining how much you want to spend, planning out what you’d like to see in your design (what you want to get out of your pool) and choosing someone to help you implement your ideas, you’ll be amply prepared when the time comes to start the project.

Did you know? A professionally designed pool, especially those that are surrounded with beautiful landscaping, can dramatically increase the value of your home and provide you with positive return on investment (ROI). Even if you spend just 10-15 percent of your appraised home value you will increase your property value by as much as 20-25 percent.

Now that you have a budget in mind, you’ll want to spend some time defining your unique needs and wants so that you can get the most out of your pool redesign. If you haven’t done so already, spend some time looking through various designs online or in magazines. Check out what your friends and family have done in their yards. Look at textures, color combinations, walkway patterns, lighting, water features, trees, plants and flowers, etc. You may think you know exactly what you want but the more you see, the more ideas you’ll have and the more comfortable you will feel with your final decision moving forward.

Once you have a basic design in mind, you’ll need to choose a professional pool designer in Scottsdale that will work with you on implementing your ideas. There are many factors that go into choosing the right company and you need to prioritize what is most important to you. In addition to things like price and time to completion, you should also take into consideration things like how long the company has been in business, how many workers they employ, if they have received any awards or special recognition in the area, what kind of warranty or guarantees they offer and if they have follow-up or maintenance plans. These things are very important when it comes to choosing a professional pool designer in Scottsdale, so make sure you cover all points. After that, you’ll have a beautiful pool in no time!

To efficiently and safely operate a swimming pool, you’ll need to have a pump, basin, water filter, chemical feeder, return, drains, and the proper plumbing to transport your water.

Depending on the basin structure, there are various types of pools available for you to choose from. Above ground swimming pools are the easiest to build and the cheapest to buy, as they come with pre-made kits. Fiberglass pools are built using molded fiberglass, reinforced plastic. Fiberglass pools are in ground, and can provide you years and years of family fun and swimming excitement.

Vinyl lined swimming pools are the cheapest types of in ground designs you can get, although you’ll need to have the liner replaced every 10 years or so. Concrete is another popular design for in ground pools, as they provide plenty of room and no need to have the liner replaced. There are also the public swimming pools, which include heated indoor pools, children’s pools, and outdoor pools. Public swimming pools are well known for their slides and other features such as waterfalls and splash pads. Public pools are great for hot days, although most prefer to get their own pool due to public pools being so crowded on a frequent basis.

Swim spas, or exercise pools are also popular, known for their resistance swimming. Swimming is one of the best exercises that you can do for your body, as it works just about every muscle in your body. There are several exercises that you can do in an exercise pool, such as jogging, water toning, and water yoga.

No matter what type of swimming pool it may be, it’s very important that the chemicals stay balanced. If the balance of the chemicals is off, it can damage the water, which can really irritate your skin and your eyes. Therefore, swimming pools need to be disinfected on a daily basis and treated with various chemicals. To maintain the proper health of the skin, purifying the water is very important.

If you are looking to add a swimming pool to your property, there are several for you to choose from. Swimming pools can help add property value to your home, which is always a good thing. When you add a swimming pool to your property, you should always think in terms of safety, and ensure that your pool is protected against young children. If you take care of your pool and always make sure that things are clean and safe, your pool will provide you with plenty of fun for years and years to come.

They can be so convenient when you love to entertain or have kids that like to play in the water often. Nothing is nicer than a hot day and having your very own, private swimming hole right in your back yard. There are a few things about having a swimming pool of your own that you might want to consider before you buy a home that has one or have on installed where you already live.

It takes a whole lot of water to keep a swimming pool filled up and the cost, depending on where you live, might not be so cheap. When you live in places where water can be scarce, it could be a luxury that you might not be able to afford because of the water factor alone. Many people have pools installed or buy a home that has one already only to find out later that what they thought was going to be a wonderful thing turned into a very expensive and aggravating headache.

If you have plenty of income and money is not such a big concern for you, then a pool will probably be the asset that you envisioned. If however, you have a limited income, it could be a little costly for the upkeep as well as the water required for it. You must remember that a swimming pool stays filled with water most of the year and the right chemicals in the right amounts must be applied in order to keep your pool water clean and clear. Harmful bacteria and algae can begin to grow very quickly, especially during the hot summer months when the chemical components are not correct at all times.

The easiest solution for pool maintenance if you are not familiar with it yourself is to hire a regular pool person to maintain it for you. This can be another expense that you might not have planned on in the beginning. Pools also have to be kept clear of debris in order for the filters to work properly. No one wants to have their family and friend swimming around in a pool that has dirty and unsafe water. You will either have to engage someone for the upkeep for you or learn how to do it correctly yourself.

Unexpected problems with a drainage or leaks can also happen more easily than you think with a swimming pool too. The repair of an in ground pool can get really costly when it becomes necessary to call in a professional. Even above ground pools that have been installed carefully with deck surrounds can be a real headaches if you develop a leak somewhere in the liner. Patching these liners can be achieved if it is done correctly, but they usually do have to be replaced every so many years.

Brazilian bikinis are popular swimming attires of women. It traces back its beginnings from the Roman Empire and is now a common outfit when women hit the beaches.

The bikini is a two-piece outfit women wear for swimming. The top part is like a bra that covers the breasts. The lower part is like a panty that covers the groin. The belly area is exposed for a sexier look.

Historians trace the origins of bikinis back in the Roman Empire. The modern version of the two-piece swimsuit was introduced in Paris centuries later in the middle of the 1940s. Louis Reard, the designer, initially had problems how his creation would be accepted by the general public. Even models at the time refused to wear the outfit on the fashion show stage.

The Brazilian bikini was publicly showcased beginning July 5, 1945. The name of the clothing for swimming was obviously taken from the Pacific atoll of Bikini. The islands were the location of the atomic bombs testings of the United States. Another Frenchman had his own bikini creation named The Atome. Jacques Heim was the Frenchman designer.

Micheline Bernardini, who was a nude dancer in Casino de Paris, was the only model who had the courage to wear the Brazilian bikini type clothing. And this caught the attention of the world. In many countries, women got attracted to the new craze in swimsuits. Debates arose from different sectors. Spain, Portugal and Italy, all Catholic countries, prohibited women from wearing these skimpy bathing suits. Hollywood was pressured to prohibit actresses to wear the Brazilian bikini in movies.

American women were at first not keen in the Brazilian bikini in the 1940s and 1950s. The turnaround only began in 1960 when Americans began liking bare flesh. Show business was a big influence. The song “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini” became a big hit. This song about swimsuits became a household topic.

“Beach Party”, a 1963 movie, first of a series, made a big splash for the bikini. The film starring Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon have women in bikinis dancing.

The popularity declined in the 1980s and earlier years of the following decade. Sales of the women bathing suit declined. In 1988, the business entity of the original Brazilian bikini designer was forced to close shop.

It was in the 1990s that the upsurge of bikini sales started again. Some experts credit this upswing to the influence of “Baywatch, a popular television series in that time. The show was set in the beach with many women lifeguards in bikinis.

Authentic Brazilian bikinis are very skimpy and sexy. All other bikinis are patterned here. The trend motivates women to exercise and be physically fit to be able to flaunt their sexy bodies inside these bikinis.

Is your backyard boring? Do you wish you had a beautiful landscape and a swimming pool to cool off on hot summer days? This article will provide you tips on how to get the most out of your Phoenix pool design. Whether you’re looking to add something new to an empty space or update an old design, the following information will be beneficial to you and will help you avoid costly mistakes.

In Phoenix, swimming pools, hot tubs and spas are an integral part of most custom landscape designs. Whether you like the look of a lush tropical oasis or a mirage in the desert, you can almost always find a way to create an Phoenix pool design that fits your individual style and your budget.

It doesn’t matter if your backyard is a pile of dirt and rocks or if you already have a professionally designed pool landscape that just needs to be updated. Hey, maybe your pool plans were started and never finished. Now is as good a time as any to get the most of your pool design.

So how do you get started? Well, it’s really as simple as a three-step process: budget, design and implementation. By defining how much you want to spend, planning out what you’d like to see in your design (what you want to get out of your pool) and choosing someone to help you implement your ideas, you’ll be amply prepared when it comes time to actually break ground. Let’s get started with your budget.

That’s a significant increase that should be taken into consideration when budgeting for professional Phoenix pool design, and it should give you a pretty good idea of what you should spend.

Now that you have a budget in mind, you’ll want to spend some time defining your unique needs and wants so that you can get the most out of your pool design. If you haven’t done so already, spend some time looking through various pool designs online or in magazines. Check out what your friends and family have done in their yards. Look at layouts, shapes, textures, color combinations, walkway patterns, lighting, water features, trees, plants and flowers, etc. You may think you know exactly what you want but the more you see, the more ideas you’ll have and the more comfortable you will feel with your final decision moving forward.

There are many factors that go into choosing the right company and you need to prioritize what is most important to you. Do you wish you had a beautiful swimming pool that is the envy of friends and guests? This article will provide you with tips on how to get a unique Phoenix pool redesign or remodel. Whether you’re looking to update an old design or remodel a shabby pool, the following information will be beneficial to you and will help you avoid costly mistakes.

In Phoenix, swimming pools are a must for any outdoor landscape environment.

Once you have a basic design in mind, you’ll need to choose a professional pool designer in Phoenix that will work with you on implementing your ideas. There are many factors that go into choosing the right company and you need to prioritize what is most important to you. Like other homeowners, you may be thinking a swimming pool. Pools are great to have, although they require a lot of work and maintenance - whether you have an in ground or above ground swimming pool. Before you rush out and buy your pool for summer, there are a few things you should know.

When you buy your pool, your dealer or salesman will more than likely go over what else you need with your pool. In order to operate your pool, there are several things that you simply must have to get started.

The first thing you’ll need is a filtration system. When you get your filtration system, make sure that your filtration system is capable of handling your pool capacity. A filtration system is very important, as it helps to remove small partials and bacteria from building up in your water.

A vacuum is also important. You should make sure however, that you purchase a vacuum that is specific for your swimming pool. There are several types of vacuums available, and you want to make sure that you don’t purchase the wrong one. Vacuums are essential to operating your pool, as they help to clean out debris settled on the bottom.

You should also make sure that you get a skimmer basket or strainer as well, as it helps with your vacuum and filtration system. Skimmer baskets or strainers will keep your pool clean by catching debris and bugs that manage to get into your pool. You should use them whenever you use your pool, as they will do a majority of the cleaning for you.

To protect your pool, you’ll also need a swimming pool cover. Covers are available in a few different types, and several different sizes. A cover will protect your pool from debris and elements, as well as preventing those you love from drowning. You should always make sure that you buy a strong and sturdy cover, and be sure to use it to cover your pool when you aren’t swimming.

A maintenance chart is also important. With a maintenance chart, you can keep track of what you have done to your pool, the level of chemicals that you are using, and the readings of the tests that you have performed on your water. Maintenance charts are easily overlooked by pool owners, although they are essential to knowing what you have done to your pool.

Another important items you’ll need are chemicals. They play a very important role in balancing your water, and helping swimmers stay healthy. There are several different types of chemicals available, including chlorine, clarifier, and pH chemicals. All types of chemicals are very important, and need to be used to keep your water levels healthy. You can check your water and pH levels on a daily basis, as you do your regular pool maintenance.

In order to perform tests on your pool, you’ll need a testing kit. They come in either strip or bottle form, and allow you to test and understand the different chemical levels in your water. If you are planning to keep your pool healthy, you’ll need to do tests. They are easy to do, and won’t take you but a few minutes of your time.

To operate your pool and perform the proper maintenance, you’ll need to have the above equipment and supplies. Although you can buy pool accessories such as toys and furniture, they aren’t required to use your swimming pool. You don’t need to have any accessories - although you do need everything listed above.

When shutting your pool down, the first step will be the water. You should begin by checking your pH level, and making sure that it is around 7.5. If it isn’t, simply add some dry acid. You should also check your chlorine as well, and use a winterizing product to make sure that your pool will be protected from algae during the few months that you won’t be swimming.

During the winter months, you should run your pump for around 6 hours a day, to ensure that the algae doesn’t settle in. You should also go ahead and check for any types of leaks as well, then switch your skimmer valve off and let the water drain to around 6 inches below the skimmer’s bottom. This way, you’ll have the preferred amount of water in your pool.

If you are using a summer cover, take it down and give it a good cleaning using fresh water and a pressure washer if you have access to one. Once you have cleaned the cover really good, go ahead and put it in your building or garage and break out your winter cover. When you put your winter cover on the pool, make sure that you have plenty of tension on the cover, to prevent anything from getting under it.

Although you may have put the cover on tight, you should still check it every couple of days to make sure that it is still tight. Remind your family and friends that you have closed your pool down for the winter, and that they shouldn’t be around it. Pool covers are designed to protect your pool and the water - they aren’t made for safety. Never, under any circumstances should you let a pet or a person on the cover.

Once you have finished with the cover, it is time for the equipment. You’ll need to drain the water from your pump, heater, and your filter. Each one should have a drain plug located somewhere near the bottom, which makes it easy to drain the water out. You should never forget to do this, as the water can freeze inside of your equipment during the cold months of winter and result in permanent damage of your equipment.

Once you have finished getting your swimming pool ready for winter, you can relax knowing that your pool is protected. Keeping a check on it every few days will ensure that nothing has happened. Once summer starts to arrive again, you can get your pool ready for summer and prepare to open it up again. If you’ve done things right - your pool will be ready to go in no time at all.
